I am writing to notify you the rental property I/we rent at [123 Tenant Trail, Lincoln, NE 68508] has been damaged or destroyed by [the tree that blew over and fell through the roof] on the date of [5/2/2015]. The damage from this casualty has substantially impaired my/our enjoyment of the property. I/we have vacated the property on [5/4/2015] and this notice terminates the lease as of that date.

As stated in Neb. Rev. Stat. §76-1429, please refund all prepaid rent and security. You may send the amount to the following address: [123 Newhouse Ave., Lincoln, NE 68508].  Thank you for your consideratioin on this matter.
